GFC (growth factor concentrate)

Medical Procedure of injecting Safely prepared highly concentrated growth factor from your own blood for better result in hair fall treatment.

Indication :-

How does it work :- GFC solution loaded with Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF, ) Platelet-derived Growth Factor (PDGF), Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 (IGF-1), epidermal growth factor which helps in stem cell proliferation, migration & differention. Which further improve hair fall, increase hair thickness & hair density as well.

Procedure : -

First patient scalp is thoroughly clean with betadine & saline solution.
Then topical numbing cream is applied on patient scalp.
Then 8-16 ml of patient sample blood is collected via sterile syringe.
Then this sample blood is kept for 30 min in specialised GFC tube. Which allow platelet to break early & release growth factor.
Then GFC tube filled with patient blood processed in centrifuge machine (which separate blood cells & gfc solution)
Then from tube gfc solution is collected via sterile syringe.
Then numbing cream is cleaned.
And gfc solution is injected into patient scalp via insulin syringe. Covering all the pattern baldness area.

Post procedure precaution :-

Patient is advised not to applying anything after treatment till the next morning. Let solution get absorbed.
Patient is asked to shampoo next morning after the treatment with mild shampoo.
Don’t do strenuous exercise, work & weight lifting for next 48 hours.
Don’t use hair colour & mehndi for next 3-5 day after treatment.
Avoid liquor on the day of treatment.

PRP Vs GFC :-

Both has almost similar procedure. The major difference between them is about the kit we use to prepare platelet solution.

While in prp. After centrifugation we get platelet rich plasma solution which then injected into scalp where this platelet get break & release growth factor which actually help in controlling hair fall.

But in case of GFC we keep blood in specialised GFC tube For 30 min. This tube contain growth factor activator which help early release of growth factor by breaking platelet. Which make GFC solution more potent then PRP.

Which make GFC more efficacious then PRP. But GFC is also costly then PRP.

Side effects :-

Mild pain, swelling, headache, itching, rarely lymph node swelling. All issue resolve easily.
