Hair Transplant

Hair transplant is a technique of hair restoration. In which bald area is transplanted with healthy growing hair to recover hair density.

Hair transplant helps patient to get his hair line back.

Indication :- grade 3 to 6 baldness.

How does it works :-

In hair transplant healthy hair grafts extracted from donor area is implanted on bald area where it continue to grow like normal hair.

Procedure :-

Hair transplant is a day procedure. Means it not need patient to be admitted in to hospital. Once graft extraction & implant process patient is send home with proper dressing.
Once all the pre investigation done & proper examination of patient done. Patient is advised to come early morning on decided day.

On the day of hair transplant :-

Marking of hair line, donor area & implant area on scalp done.
Complete hair shaving.
Scalp is thoroughly clean with betadine.
Injection of local anaesthesia given at donor site.
Extraction of graft
Simultaneously washing the graft & keeping them in prp solution.
Once pre decided graft extracted.
Then slits are formed on donor area.
Now graft are implanted.
Once graft are implanted proper dressing will be done.
Then patient is advise to go home & have proper night sleep.
Hair transplant averagely take 9-10 hours. So throughout the time to break where taken to keep patient in comfortable state.

Post hair transplant care :-

Patient ask to keep dressing intact for next day.
Avoid alcohol for 7 days.
Avoid lifting heavy weight or strenuous work for next 15 days.
Avoid exposure of environment with excessive dust, & dirt. For next 10 days. Better to wear surgical came when ever going out
Avoid prolonged exposure to sun. For next 10 days.
Don’t apply oil or minoxidil on scalp till 10-12 days.
Don’t wash you hair till 10-12 day. After hair transplant first shampoo is done at clinic.
On 3rd day patient dressing is removed.
Then patient is ask to spray saline every wakening hour on implant area.

Side effects :-

There is no serious side effects of hair transplant.
Mild headache will be there for initial 4-5 days. Which is easily taken care with medicine.
Swelling is there due to local anaesthesia, Which will completely gone in 5-7 days.
Bruising, mild feeling of discomfort
